learning through play
Why we follow the EYFS framework

How the Early Years Foundation Stage shapes play and learning at Twinnie Day Nursery.
What is the EYFS?
The Early Years Foundation Stage is the statutory framework for children from birth to five in England. It sets standards for learning, development and care.
Learning through play
From messy play and building blocks to stories and songs, children learn through activities they enjoy. Our approach is child-led, following each child's interests.
Seven areas of learning
We observe and support progress across communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design.
Working with parents
Your child's key person shares observations and next steps with you, so learning carries on at home.
