Learning about people who help us
How visits from local services help children at Twinnie Belvedere learn about their community.
Real visitors, real excitement
Our children have enjoyed visits from the local fire service, getting a close look at a real fire engine and meeting the crew.
Understanding the world
Visits like these support the EYFS area of understanding the world, as children learn about the jobs people do and how they keep us safe.
Building confidence
Talking to new adults in a safe, familiar setting helps children grow in confidence and learn who they can turn to for help.
Carrying it on at home
Ask your child what they learned. Role play with dressing-up clothes and toy vehicles keeps the conversation going.
